Amanda L. Murphy, FSA

Ms. Murphy first joined Rudd and Wisdom in 1998 and became a Principal of the firm in 2004. Ms. Murphy took a temporary leave from the firm from 2007 to 2013 to care for her children. Ms. Murphy is a Principal in the Retirement Benefits Division of the firm.

Professional Designations:

Ms. Murphy is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries and a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries.

Expertise:

Ms. Murphy has experience in the performance of actuarial funding valuations and postretirement medical plans valuations, the preparation of actuarial reports for both public and private sector pension plans, regulatory compliance of qualified defined benefit retirement plans and defined benefit and defined contribution plan administration. She also has experience in preparing plan documents and programming software for benefit plan administration.

Education:

Ms. Murphy graduated Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mathematics (with High Honors).
